Overview
The Epidemic Sound plugin brings the entire Epidemic Sound catalog directly into DaVinci Resolve Studio, eliminating the need to switch between platforms. Install via the Epidemic Sound Hub, then access it from Workspace > Workflow Integrations to browse, preview, and drop tracks straight into your timeline.
The plugin features Studio, a video-to-audio tool that automatically creates a soundtrack draft with music and sound effects synced to the action in your footage. AI-powered search lets you find the perfect track by describing the vibe in your own words, uploading a video frame for context, or referencing a known song or Spotify link. You can also search by video content to get tracks that match the mood of your footage.
Once you find a track, the built-in editor lets you cut, loop, and pick out the best parts to create new versions that fit your project perfectly. Voiceovers and sound effects are also accessible from the same interface, making it a complete audio workflow solution inside Resolve.

Pros
- Full Epidemic Sound catalog accessible without leaving Resolve
- Studio tool auto-generates soundtracks synced to video action
- AI search by description, reference track, or video content
- Built-in editor for cutting, looping, and remixing tracks
- Sound effects and voiceovers available in the same plugin
Cons
- Requires an active Epidemic Sound subscription (from ~$144/year)
- Only compatible with DaVinci Resolve Studio (not Free)
- Windows and macOS only (no Linux support)
- Relies on the Epidemic Sound Hub app for installation and updates
Verdict
The catalog and AI search are genuinely useful if you're already an Epidemic Sound subscriber, this just saves you from tabbing out to browse tracks. It's not worth the subscription on its own merit as a Resolve plugin: you're paying for the music library, not the integration, and it only works with Resolve Studio.
