The order and orientation of pages are set automatically. Once you fold and cut along the center line, your zine assembles perfectly. Pages sit upside-down on purpose; that's the fold.
What is a One-Sheet 8-Page Zine?
A one-sheet zine (also called a mini-zine or pocket zine) is an ingenious publishing technique where an entire 8-page publication is created from a single standard sheet of paper (typically landscape A4 or US Letter).
After printing the template, you make three specific folds (halved lengthwise and crosswise), make a single horizontal slit down the center fold, and pop the pages into a self-contained 8-page booklet. Because it requires zero staples, stitching, or glue, you can produce dozens of copies at home for pennies.
The Page Imposition Problem — Solved
If you have ever tried to design a one-sheet zine in InDesign, Photoshop, or Word, you know how confusing page imposition is: on the flat sheet, pages 1, 2, 7, and 8 sit upright, while pages 3, 4, 5, and 6 must be rotated upside down in a non-intuitive order so they read consecutively once folded.
This template tool does all the imposition math for you. You simply drag and drop your 8 photos into reading order, customize your cover title, and click export. The generated PDF is already positioned, rotated, and fitted with folding guidelines.
